I was really excited when Michel contacted me about doing a shoot. Michel works as a wedding photographer in the Netherlands, and he was doing a roadtrip in Norway with his family. I was planning a trip with my own family as well, and when I suggested to meet up in Eikesdal, I was really happy to hear back that they wanted to meet up there! I had always wanted to do a shoot in the area around the spectacular Aursjøvegen, and this was finally my chance.
Before we started the ascent up the narrow and steep gravel road, I simply asked them if they trusted me, and my driving skills ;) The drive itself includes a trek through a dark, narrow tunnel that circles inside the mountain (at that point Michel commented dryly that this construction wouldn’t even be legal to drive or open to the public in Holland :)).
I couldn’t have been happier with our shoot at the amazing Aurstupet, and I had such a good time with these two troopers! Even the weather was on our side this summer night, and it was worth every minute of nervewracking drive :)
